Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra, Part 11

[Series of Master Shen-Long expounding on the Prajna Paramita (Perfection of Transcendent Wisdom) Heart Sutra]

If a person lives under bright prospects, if you can attain a certain extent of bright prospects, this problem of life and death will also be gone.

Birth (life) and death itself is not bright, we constantly think of death, where death is the dark side. We now look outside and see that the color of the sky is dark, but when you have a mind unmoved by any phenomena, you will see that the color of sky is bright and shining.

How come? Your mind is shining, whereas the entire universe is dark.

This is merely a hypothesis right now, and whether you can verify into the truth is not included in this discussion for the time being; today I am only speaking about the phenomena.

Secondly, the situation of using “Cessation Insight” is like water; there is no place it cannot flow through which also means that there is nothing it cannot pass. If your path is very narrow and unpleasant in all respects, then this invites difficulties. This and Prajna (wisdom) are directly related; you want to recover this pure instinct, and you must not make life difficult for others, especially the condition of your subconscious.

For instance, we often conduct ourselves, obviously not liking the situation yet we must try to play a role with a smiling face. Secondly, we speak out with blunt statements. Thirdly, it is pressed in the mind and entirely motionless. However, for a person who uses Prajna, one will not have this problem and any word from one’s mouth all sounds right.

Why is it all right? It is not that he himself thinks it is right; it is pleasing to other people’s ears.

Everyone should give this a try.

如果一個人生活在光明當中,老實講,你要達到一定的光明,這個生死也沒有了。

因為生死本身並不光明,我們常想到死亡,死亡好像是黑暗的。我講實在話,我們現在看到外面天色是暗的,不過你要是心定的話,你看到是明亮的。

為什麼?你的心是亮的,整個宇宙是黑的。

這個我們現在只是假設,你能不能證入,這個暫時不討論。今天我只是把現象說出來。

第二,用「止觀」的狀態,就像水,沒有地方是流不過去的,也就是沒有過不去的。你如果把自己的路變的很狹窄,處處都不愉快,那叫做「自找麻煩」,這跟「般若」是直接的關係。你想要恢復這種「清淨」的本能,你千萬不要跟別人過不去,尤其是你潛意識的狀態。

譬如說:我們常常做人明明不喜歡,卻要強裝一幅笑臉。第二,乾脆說出來。第三,把它壓在心裡全部不動。但是如果用「般若」的人,他就沒有這個問題。他隨便說一句話都對。

為什麼對?不是他自己認為對,而是別人都聽的順耳。

各位不妨試一試,如果你認為你是個快樂的人,那你要想一想,為什麼你跟人會對立?
